July 07 - Insurance
The FSC is currently having legislation drafted for a new Insurance Act.
This Act will:
- Regulate providers of domestic insurance in the Cook Islands;
- Regulate agents and brokers operating in the Cook Islands;
- Update the current supervisory regime for off-shore insurers.
It is proposed that the Government will put this legislation before the Cook Islands' parliament later in 2007.
