Membership of International Organisations
The Financial Supervisory Commission is a member of:
Association of Financial Supervisors of Pacific Countries (AFSPC) - 2003
AFSPC was created in late 2002 by 8 Heads of Supervision in the Pacific region and endorsed by the Governors of Central Banks and Ministers of Finance. The Cook Islands became a Member in 2003. The Pacific Financial Technical Assistance Centre (PFTAC) acts as Secretariat, with administrative backing from the Reserve Bank of Fiji.
Corporate Registers Forum (CRF) - 2007
The CRF aims to provide delegates with the opportunity to review the latest developments in corporate business registers internationally and exchange experiences and information on the present and future operation of corporate business registration systems.
Group of International Finance Center Supervisors (GIFCS) - September 2009
The GIFCS (previously OGBS) is a long-established group of financial services supervisors with a core interest of promoting the adoption of international regulatory standards especially in the banking, fiduciary and AML/CFT arena. The FSC was an Observer in this group from 2005, with full Membership being attained in September 2009.
Group of International Insurance Centre Supervisors (GIICS) - June 2016
The GIICS is an organisation that consists of insurance regulators and supervisors from jurisdictions that provide international insurance services. The FSC is a Member of this Group.
