Regulatory Framework

The Financial Supervisory Commission supervises the financial sector in the Cook Islands by way of legislation (Acts and Regulations) and other instruments such as Prudential Statements and Practice Notes.

The FSC examines prudential returns submitted by the financial institutions on a regular basis, and conducts on-site examinations at least once a year.
